On the Reshuffling of the Noda Cabinet

I appreciate the bold decision and action taken by Prime Minister Noda to reshuffle his cabinet at this time. This asserts the Prime Minister’s firm resolution to seek approval of bills on unified reform of social security and tax reforms, with an increase of the consumption tax rate as its central issue; at the same time, it also can be regarded as a necessary measure to instill an environment for such dialogue and decision-making within the Diet.

From now, I would like Prime Minister Noda to make an all-out effort to carry forward deliberation within the Diet, to have those related bills approved by the end of this session.
