Special seminar with Dr. Ian Bremmer

On October 20, 2025, we held a special seminar featuring Dr. Ian Bremmer, a world-renowned geopolitical expert, as well as the president and founder of Eurasia Group and GZERO Media.

The hybrid event drew over 200 participants, both in-person and online, including members from Keizai Doyukai National Network（※）
※Keizai Doyukai has a nation-wide network together with its 44 partner organizations.

Following opening remarks by Vice Chairprrson Hirokane Mike, Dr. Bremmer delivered the keynote session. He offered deep insights into the international landscape of the "G0 (G-Zero)" era, focusing on four major global crises: U.S.-China relations, developments in the Middle East, the Russia-Ukraine war, and political divisions within the United States. His lecture was followed by an engaging discussion with Mitsunobu Koshiba, Chair of the Geoeconomics Committeee, and a lively Q&A session with the audience.

The second session featured a panel discussion with Xiaomen Lu (Director, Geotech, Eurasia Group), Kazuto Suzuki (Director of the Institute of Geoeconomics, and Professor at the Graduate School of Public Policy, University of Tokyo), and Mitsunobu Koshiba. This insightful discussion was moderated by Genichi Tamatsuka, Vice Chairperson and Chair of the Japan-South Korea Relations Committee.
