Prime Minister Takaichi's second Cabinet was inaugurated today. All Cabinet members have been reappointed, demonstrating the prime minister's resolute commitment to prioritize the consistency and stability of the policy measures being carried out by the current administration. With this proven leadership team, we have high expectations that the government will press forward with the structural reforms for Japan's sustainable economic growth.
Above all, the early launch of the "national council" is of particular importance to fostering the public understanding on full-fledged reforms of the social security system, as well as to deliberations on consumption tax. Meanwhile, what we consider indispensable for the growth strategy is acceleration of implementing AI/digitalization, enhancement of labor market liquidity, and implementation of robust policy measures that catalyze active private sector investment.
Keizai Doyukai is committed to placing Japan's economy on a new growth trajectory. To this end, corporate managers will devote their full efforts to achieving sustained wage hikes and higher productivity driven by innovation.
