On the Upper House Passage of the Bill to Amend the Worker Dispatching Act
September 9, 2015
Yoshimitsu Kobayashi
Chairman, Keizai Doyukai
- Today, the plenary session of the House of Councilors passed the bill to amend the Worker Dispatching Act. We welcome that the revised act is expected to be smoothly enacted during the current Diet session although the original plan for the law enforcement will be delayed.
- This amendment aims at ensuring the sound operation of the worker dispatching business, promoting the career development of dispatched workers, and revising the complication of the current three-year dispatch limit to a simpler structure. We hope the amendment of the Act enables a better implementation of the business toward the realization of these objectives.
- It is a must to create a society that allows an individual to choose his or her career path and working style on one’s own initiative by providing selections of various working styles with flexibility. It is for the purpose of empowering human resources talented with diverse values and needs, which should lead to the revitalization of our country. In this regard, we should promote “Reform of working styles” further, including “Advanced Professionals System.”
